INTERVIEW QUESTIONS

These are suggested questions in order of their occurrence in Bart's life baking cookies. Use them all, pick a few, customize your own, it's all up to you!

QUESTIONS REGARDING BART'S COOKIES

Q1 : WHAT inspired you to start baking cookies and how old were you? You say in your story that you wanted cookies for dinner while at college, is that true? What year was that?

Q2 : Is this your mom’s recipe or your grandma’s or where did you get the recipe? Did they even bake chocolate chip cookies when you were a kid?

Q3 : You say you were baking cookies when you left college and were bringing them to pot luck events at different companies all across Orange County, CA, tell us about that. What did you start to witness?

Q4 : Side note, but what is your obsession with chocolate chip cookies? I mean, you've been baking them for 35+ years, you've sold them online, you've given them away to people for free all these years, ... what's your story? Is this an addiction to chocolate, a fetish, a compulsion, a love for ... what drives you to bake cookies and why are yours the best over all the other bakers out there?

Q5 : When you became a freelancer after leaving the corporate world behind (in the mid 1990s), you said you would use cookies to get clients, thank them for their business or get them to pay their bill without mean phone calls or threats of small claims court, what was that like? How did that come about?

Q6 : When did you start selling your cookies online and what were the steps to do that, what year was that and how long did you sell them online? You say you built your own website, installed the shopping cart, and hooked up the payment processor yourself. Where did you get those web skills?

Q7 : Can you also tell us some crazy cookie baking stories like the time you baked 800+ cookies in one day or you made 14 batches (=550 cookies) to fulfill Valentine's orders? What about repeat customers? Did you have any? What did you see from a consumer's standpoint? Why did they keep buying your cookies instead of going to the store for cookies?

Q8 : How did you perfect your chocolate chip cookie recipe over the past 35+ years since you started baking in 1988 and what are the ingredients, if I might ask ...

Q9 : Can you give us any cookie baking tips without giving away your secret recipe? Why aren't you able to share your recipe at this time? When will you be able to? What are you waiting for? Does anyone (else) know your secret recipe? If we asked them to share it, would they? How much of it do they remember?

Q10 There are other chocolate chip cookie bakers out there who say their cookies are the best, how do you respond to their claims? You wrote a report called, 21 REASONS WHY YOU MAKE THE BEST CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES, tell us about that and what do you think about cookies made by other bakers? What QUALIFIES someone to be able to say they make the best chocolate chip cookies?

Q11 : When it comes to other chocolate chip cookie recipes you've seen online, what do you see? What patterns? Are they just copy-cats of one another's recipe or what? Tell me what you've read in the comments section of most EVERY ONE of those recipe web pages. How does your recipe differ from the others?

Q12 : What flavors do you bake and do you bake any other type of cookies why/why not? How are your cookies different from other chocolate chip cookies? Oh, what's a B-BITE and a B-MO? Those are the two sizes of cookies you bake, right?

Q13 : What makes your chocolate chip cookies so unique? Why do people call them ADDICTIVE or that they should be illegal, etc.?

Q14 : Some people, if not most, who try your cookies say they’re ORGASMIC? What do they mean? How can that be? By the way, WHERE ARE MY COOKIES? ;-)

Q15 : You have 600+ cookie stories, reviews and testimonials associated with your chocolate chip cookies. 427 testimonials, 140 reviews and 51+ stories. No cookie company has that many POSTED on their website like you do, let alone a book about their cookies. Tell me about some of the funny cookie stories, a few reviews and some of the testimonials? I've read them and I've NEVER seen anything like it on other cookie-selling/recipe websites.

Q16 : Now, you don't sell your cookies any more from your website, like you used to. Why did you stop? You say your plans now are to sell your unique recipe to the right company who will work with you. Tell me about that.

Q17 : What are CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE TASTING PARTIES? Tell me about those? They sound like fun!

Q18 : Have any celebrities had your cookies? You mailed some to Gene Simmons of KISS, right? Tell us that story.

Q19 : Can you see yourself on SharkTank® pitching the investors? What would you say to them! Is going on their show even necessary for what you want to do?

Q20 What’s next for Bart’s cookies? When, where and how can the masses enjoy your world famous chocolate chip cookies and get the recipe to be able to make them at home like you do?

QUESTIONS REGARDING BART'S COOKIE BOOK

Q1 : WHAT inspired you to write a book about your chocolate chip cookie baking experience(s) and has anyone ever done that before like you have? You said you put it all together, don't you need a lot of people and a lot of money to put together a 460-page, full-color book like you have? It really does seem impossible that just one person put it all together, but then you have written 25+ other books.

Q2 : I looked at the price to buy it on Amazon, and it's quite expensive, like $50. Can people read your book for free online and why is it priced so high? Also, WHO is your book really intended for?

Q3 : So, what is your goal with your chocolate chip cookie recipe and your cookie book? You talk about making CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE HISTORY! Tell us about that ... and do you ever want to open a bakery and bake cookies again commercially? Go back to selling them online? What IS the best way to get your cookies in the hands of everyone so even YOU don't have to bake them! You're only ONE PERSON. How do you reach MILLIONS OF PEOPLE with your cookies? You say you have a solution in your book! Do tell!

Q4 : How do you plan on getting the word out about your cookies to the public and ultimately to the chocolate chip manufactures to take notice of you so you can work with one of them? Tell me about these COOKIE TASTING PARTIES you conduct and can I come to one or host one myself?

Q5 : Any parting words, Bart? How can people get a hold of you, how can we help you get your name, your cookie brand, your cookies and people's feedback about them to others so we can help you reach your chocolate chip cookie (recipe) goals and make history?

RAVE REVIEWS

EVERYONE LOVES MY COOKIES

READ OVER 600+ RAVE REVIEWS:

With over 600+ cookie stories, cookie reviews and cookie testimonials that no other cookie baker on Earth could generate, it’s not hard to see why everyone says my chocolate chip cookies are THE BEST!

Would you believe that most cookie (selling/recipe) websites don't have any testimonials about their chocolate chip cookies? If they do, they have like 3-10 that read something like, "Great service. I'll order again. Taste great." Or, if it's a chocolate chip cookie recipe website or blog, tucked in between a few nice reviews will be a few "these cookies turned out way flat," "I had to throw everything out." Yeah, uh huh. If a baker boasts that their cookies are "THE BEST" you'd think they would have at least 100+ people bragging about how good their cookies were. Even the recipes I've seen where commenters had good things to say, still, the recipe was wrong, outdated, required unnecessary ingredients and/or steps and still turned out flat, uncooked, burnt edged cookies. What's that really say about the quality and taste of these other cookies? Not much, I presume.

Sure, I say my chocolate chip cookies are the best in the world, BUT don't take my word for it. Here a few out of 600+ cookie stories, reviews and testimonials that have come my way freely after people have tried my chocolate chip cookies.

TESTIMONIAL #1
BART'S COOKIES SHOULD BE ILLEGAL THEY'RE SO GOOD!

"If you haven't had Bart's cookies yet, let me tell you, Bart's cookies should be ILLEGAL. I've NEVER tasted a cookie THIS GOOD, ever! That's all I can say." — Dana, Agoura, CA

TESTIMONIAL #5
I'M A MOTHER, A WIFE AND A GREAT COOK AND I'VE NEVER HAD COOKIES THAT TASTE THIS GOOD.
"What can I say about Bart's cookies? Whenever Bart treats me to a 1/2 dozen, I sneak off to a corner all by myself, take a long bite into them and am literally transported to another world. I'm a mother, a wife and a great cook and I've never had cookies that taste that good. Thank you, Bart. You're so sweet for thinking of me when you bring them in." — Pam, Waitress, West Los Angeles, CA

TESTIMONIAL #19
ON THE WAY HOME I DECIDED TO HAVE JUST ONE FOR MYSELF, AND IT WAS SO GOOD -- I ACCIDENTALLY ATE THE WHOLE BAG, AND MY PARENTS NEVER GOT ANY.
"Bart, my parents CAN'T STAND your cookies ... Why? They NEVER GOT TO TRY THEM! The other day you gave me a bag of cookies to give to my parents. On the way home, I decided to have just one for myself, and IT WAS SO GOOD -- I accidentally ATE THE WHOLE BAG, and my parents never got any. Sorry, Mom and Dad, you'll just have to get some for yourself, because if I'm delivering, they'll never make it to you r door!" — Mike R., Boise, ID

TESTIMONIAL #211
HOLY CRAP, THESE COOKIES ARE AMAZING!
"Hi Bart, holy crap, these cookies are amazing! I won’t tell you what my son said, haha!!! Thank you so much for my cookies!!! As for your email message, you are way too good to me." — Michelle W., Shelby Township, MI

TESTIMONIAL #229
I HAVE AN ADDICTION THAT I'M ACTUALLY PROUD OF! I'M ADDICTED TO BART'S COOKIES!
"I've been a cookie customer of Bart's since 2012. I've probably placed 40 or so orders and I've sent his cookies to friends and relatives all throughout the country. No matter who I send them to, the response? 'Glenn, these cookies are absolutely amazing! Thank you for sending them!' Of course, I have to have my regular dosage sent to me from time to time. My favorite are the dark chocolate chip cookies. No one makes them like Bart. Side note, I was in Las Vegas some time back and go to sit and visit with Bart. He is like everyone says, kind, smart, passionate (about baking his cookies) and just an all around nice guy. I guess baking thousands of cookies will have that kind of effect on you, eh? Your cookies are still as good as the first time I had them!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to bake the delicious cookies, as they usually are so amazing." — Glenn R., Orlando, FL
