I've been using this particular high-quality, studio-sounding condenser microphone for the past 20 years to record all of my audio, audiobooks, audio for my video, you name it! I can't recommend this quality microphone enough.
With the USB cable it's a plug-n-play, ready-to-go microphone. Just plug it in, select in inside your audio recording software and you're set to start recording like a pro.
Also, if you like, order the boom arm (below) that I have and you can hang this microphone close to your mouth and over your hands so you can have access to your keyboard for typing whatever you need during/after the recording process.
In conjunction with Magix's Sound Forge Audio Studio recording software, the same recording software I use to record and edit all my audio, this microphone is a dream to work with.
This is a great piece of audio recording equipment to help keep your microphone suspended so it doesn't get knocked around on a desktop stand and helps make room for your hands to type on your keyboard in between audio recordings.
This very stand fits nicely to almost any desk and can also hold your Audio-Technica AT2020USB+ Cardioid Condenser USB Microphone like the one I have.
Get this if you think you'd like to record using your microphone like I do.
So, if you're on a budget, here's a great microphone + boom arm kit. This bundle contains a quality microphone that plugs into your computer via USB and then connects nicely to an arm boom so you can avoid any sudden bumps and sounds making their way into your recorded audio. Again, this is a bundled kit that contains the arm boom + the microphone. An all-in-one kit, so to speak. Pretty cool.
Here's the exact audio recording and audio editing software I have been using for the past 20+ years. Hands down, this is my go-to software for recording (and especially editing) all the audio I produce, whether it's for my audiobooks or my videos. Magix Sound Forge Audio Studio is my favorite audio recording software to use.
Cost-wise, you can choose to pay for it once and own it forever or pay for it annually. It's up to you, but get this software. I do not recommend going with anything else, even if it's free, like Audacity. Nope. Used it and left that one behind. While Audacity might be great for recording, it's horrible for editing audio. Trust me. I've edited thousands of pieces of audio over my career in audio recording. There's no other audio editing software I'd rather use.
So, check it out and then check out my video tutorials on How I Record Audiobooks. I show you how to use Sound Forget Audio Studio in that video series.
These are my favorite, go-to, forever headphones I've always worn for not only enjoying music played on my phone, but also for listening to the audio (playback) I record for my audiobooks, audio in my videos, etc. I also like the over the ear, behind-the-neck headphone style. I've been using this type of headphone for 20+ years. I don't find them available in many places, even online. They used to be quite available in quantity at your local Target retail stores, but that didn't last forever. Shucks! So, get these while you can. I usually have an extra pair or two on hand in case the set I'm using breaks or something from normal out and about use and wear.
For those who like this style of headphone (over the head), here ya go. Cheap too ...
Here's a really nice headphone set that's also CHEAP! Whenever you record audio, it's vital you listen to it with headphones (and not your computer speaker) so you can hear all the tiny sounds you DON'T want in your audio. When you record, you actually have them on so you can record, then listen to the audio you just recorded.
This is a very high-quality headphones for a very affordable cost. Whenever you record audio, it's vital you listen to it with headphones (and not your computer speaker) so you can hear all the tiny sounds you DON'T want in your audio.
When I record, I actually have them on my head so I can record, then listen, to the audio I just recorded. Now, you don't have to have this exact pair of headphones. There are others and maybe more within your budget. Look around and get yourself a nice pair of headphones for your recording activities like I did.
The headphones are light enough that you don't even notice them when go for a run with them on which makes running easier to get through with my music shuffle. Experience true hands-free calling and enjoy music on the go. Calling is in stereo, call quality sounds like when you are holding a phone. Behind ear Bluetooth headphones are arrived fully charged and ready to go out of the box. Use it several hours a day and charge it on Monday, the battery would last the whole week.
Now, the reason why I placed this particular fan in the audio recording section is that I use it to stay cool in between my audio recording sessions. You see, I don't like the air conditioning on in my house when I record. I don't like the sound it makes in my audio recordings.
I still have to remain cool because it will get hot in my home studio room. Not to worry, I just pick up the remote and turn the fan on (pointed at me) to cool off while I edit the audio I just recorded. Problem solved. So, you choose whether you want the taller fan to keep you cool or the smaller fan on your desk perhaps.
While I don't play my audiobooks or videos through this portable Bluetooth speaker, I did want to mention it because I play my music off my phone on it and the sound is loud and awesome!
If you're looking for a portable Bluetooth speaker with great sound and yet can really play your favorite tunes LOUD (like I do), then look no further than the W-KING Bluetooth Speaker.
What's also great about this speaker is that you charge it via a USB C-Cable. I like that because that's the same type of cable I use to charge my cell phone. Great sound, loud and just an amazing Bluetooth speaker for its size.
Not that these foam pads are going to silence your room where you record or keep noise from the outside from entering your room, no. You still need a quiet place to record. What these foam pads do is reduce any vibration your voice generates when you record.
So, to prevent your voice from vibrating off the walls in your recording space, these foam pads help deaden any vocal (or other) noise) to help reduce the type of sound you're hear in a large room with wooden floors. If you are recording in a room with wooden floors, be sure to get a rug beneath you.
As an example, supposed you face a wall when recording. Your voice is bound to bounce off that wall and create a subtle echo in your audio recording. Not good. BUT, with these foam pads on your wall, which I just tack them individually to the wall, your voice is then absorbed into the foam creating a nice, solid sound to be recorded through your microphone. Very cool.
VIDEO RECORDING & PHOTOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT
Here's all the video recording and photography equipment I have and use. If you don't have this stuff, consider getting it. It's so nice having the ability to set up your own in-home video/photo studio.
For now, I use my S10+ for recording video and taking pictures. In fact, I used my phone to take all the photos in my cookbook. When I upgrade my phone, I'll purchase the S21+ Ultra on BackMarket. The S21+ Ultra has a camera on that phone that shoots video in 8K as opposed to 4K. The Amazon search results are for you to find my phone at a reasonable price, etc. IF you wanted to buy my phone or the S21+ Ultra on Amazon, go ahead and see what they offer in terms of price and availability. You can also go through your phone carrier if you think they can offer you a better deal. You can also not use a phone like this one and use another video recording device.

This wireless lavalier microphone is equipped with an advanced DSP chip, providing effective identification of the original sound and clear recording in noisy environments. Equipped with 2 plush windproof covers and 2pcs replacement Sponge heads reduces wind noise and plosives, while the AI algorithm intelligent noise reduction module accurately filters all kinds of noise and has strong anti-interference ability.
Your Ultimate Mic: The 3-in-1 wireless microphone excels with DSP embedded smart chip, automatic noise reduction, and 360° sound capture, offering a seamless and high-quality audio experience. Versatile Compatibility: The Mini Lavalier Microphone offers exceptional audio experiences on any device. Lighting port for iPhone, Type-C port for Android, and 3.5mm Coil port for Camera and PC. Break free from distance limitations: With the wireless microphone—stably transmitting audio up to 80 feet, unaffected by obstacles. Revel in diamond-clear sound quality and elevate your experience to first-class.
DO NOTE: If you have a phone case and the lavalier microphone connector for your phone can't connect because the connector cannot reach the port it goes in, then you might need to buy a male/female port adapter, such as a Type C to Type C for the Android. This adaptor acts like an extension for your lavalier microphone connector to be able to reach the phone port it goes in.
Knowing that, check out these Amazon.com search results to find the right adaptor to fit your mobile phone, whether you have an iPhone or an Android. Look closely at what you're looking for. You don't want an adaptor that is a USB (female) to Type C (male). That won't fit your lavalier microphone connector. You're looking for the same type of female to male port and plug for your phone type.
If you ever wanted to record "hands-free" what you were doing at work, for a hobby, or anything (i.e., in the kitchen handling food or making drinks), etc., then these HD 1080P camera glasses could be for you. One button operation to take video and photo without any complicated setup or configuration, record at 1080p/30 fps, you will be able to get stunning high-definition videos, also you can take photos at 2,560 x 1,440.
Also, to be safe, you might want to get yourself an adjustable glasses strap to ensure your glasses don't fall off your face when you're moving your head around recording and such.
For example, if you're bopping your head around a lot while filming (with these glasses on) or you'd like to go hiking, running, skateboarding or whatever (activity), again, don't risk it. Keep your glasses on your head snug 'n' tight with these adjustable glasses strap.
I love these lights. They're "light" (easy to carry around) and they're bright enough without blinding you like some lights I own. If a bulb breaks, it's very cheap to replace. I've had one break on me only because it was my fault. Otherwise, these lights last a long, long time if you take care of them. A must-have if you plan on shooting photography or video.
I love this green screen. Not only is it 10' wide, but it's 13' tall/long. That means, you can take full-body shots of yourself from head to toe. Yeah, put on your favorite boots and/or hat and you'll be in the whole picture. That is, the green screen can be seen and removed all around you from head to toe. That's great for, again, full-body shots.
Here's a very popular tripod with a built-in Bluetooth remote control for your phone and it has a 72" height reach. Capture amazing shots at various heights and angles with our versatile tripod. From low-angle close-ups to elevated group photos, it adjusts to your desired height effortlessly.
Listen up, when buying a tripod for your camera or phone, buy a 72" tripod. Are you tall? Over 5'? How about someone you might film? Short tripods might serve most people, but if you're over 6', which I am, then you'll want a 72" tripod so you can get all of you in the video/picture.
If you plan on filming you with your phone, whether it's video or photography, you might need this adapter that holds your phone while you mount it on your tripod at the same time. They're pretty inexpensive, so I'd recommend you buy 2 (or more) of these. For starters, once you affix one of them to your tall tripod, you won't want to take it off only to put it on your smaller, handheld flexible tripod (below). So, just get 2 (or more) and affix each to each tripod. Done. Start filming!
Lamicall upgraded gooseneck long phone holder uses longer leather-wrapped arm(98cm), more flexible 360 Adjustable & Rotatable ball joint phone clamp design and a reinforced base, which gives it a better texture, stability and flexibility. A perfect flexible phone holder that can free your hands to watch movies, make Facetime calls or record videos, etc.
This phone neck holder is designed to free your hands and experience first-person perspective shooting, suitable for various daily life scenarios such as cooking, fishing, watching TV shows, camping, travel recording, etc. The POV camera necklace comes with a safety rope and reinforcement rope, allowing easy adjustment of screen angles even during activities like running or biking to capture high-quality VLOG and POV videos.
All I can say is, "GET THIS HAND-HELD, FLEXIBLE TRIPOD!" Seriously. This hand-held tripod goes with you everywhere and can be attached to almost anything. Also, it's great for filming in the kitchen (just bend the legs some to get that angled video shot). You can also hold your camera nicely with a secure rubber legged grip. I bought two of these for both phones I have, which I film with.
This wireless remote-control shutter camera button makes it easy and exciting to snap selfies, take professional headshots or even group shots hands free! Post amazing photos from your shoot with videos on Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook or YouTube with the help of this small shutter. When using a smartphone device such as Apple ipad, iphone or even an Android, this shutter button is complete on its own with no application of special software to download or pay for! We provide a simple solution with an operational limit of up to 30 feet away or ten meters.
I use this adapter to connect my S10 Android phone (with camera) to my high-quality, condenser microphone. The phone has a "C" connection and the microphone has a USB connection. This adapter connects the two perfectly. I can now record high-quality audio whenever I film video with me talking for my YouTube channel.
This USB C to USB adapter is compatible with any laptop/tablet/smartphone with a Type-C port. The Adapter lets you connect standard USB accessories/cables to a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 device. USB 3.0 Adapter offers data transfer speeds of 1Gbps(Max) High Speed between connected devices and also supports up to 2 Amps of power output for charging your devices. Enjoy the fast and safe charging.
VIDEO & PHOTO EDITING APPS & SOFTWARE
Here's what I use to edit video on my computer (Movavi.com), take pictures and record video on my phone. The file manager apps mentioned are what I use to help move video and photos off my phone via wi-fi with ease. Hey, hope they help.
Listen up and listen good ;-) ... Movavi is THE ONLY video editing, recording and screen-capture software you'll ever need. I make ALL my video tutorials with Movavi. I make my audiobook videos for uploading to YouTube with Movavi. I also edit all my YouTube videos with Movavi. Can you tell? I LOVE LOVE LOVE MOVAVI and you will too.
Check out my video tutorials, which I made using Movavi. Oh, when buying this software, pay the little extra to include "screen capture" capabilities. You'll be glad you did. That will allow you to record you screen, create your own tutorials or document what you do on your screen with this added too. Again, I love Movavi and so will you.
Open Camera is a completely free Camera app that uses your mobile phone to take even BETTER HD quality video and photos. I've noticed a HUGE difference when shooting video and taking pictures with this app. It's my go-to app for taking, like I said, high quality HD video and photos. For photos, the Open Camera app has a great setting where you can set it to automatically take pictures based on (1) how many photos do you want to take and (2) how many seconds between pictures. This lets you take, for example,10 pictures on a row. Then, the camera stops taking pictures so you can go check on the pictures it took.
File Manager + is an easy-to-use file and folder management app for Android devices. It’s free, fast and full-featured. Much like Windows Explorer or File Explorer on the PC, this app lets you manage your files and folders on your phone. What's more, it has a feature that lets you connect your phone to your computer. This is a must if you want to be able to transfer your video (and image) files from your phone to your computer with ease. Typically, video files are too large to send via eMail attachment. So? open up File Manager, click "Access from..." and you can gain access to your phone from your PC to transfer files within seconds.
InShot is an all-in-one video editor and video maker app for your phone. You can add music, transition effects, text, emoji and filters, blur background and much more.
With these (and other) video editing features, you can record your precious moments of your daily life. Top movie maker and HD pro video editor with music, helps you create video with ease, edit video for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter, etc. InShot is also a photo editor. You can quickly edit pictures and your selfies, make collages and add text and stickers to your images. This app makes it easy to make stories for your Instagram account.
Screen Recorder helps you capture smooth and clear HD screen videos and photo screenshots of your screen in the easiest way. Just with a tap on the floating window, you can record HD video tutorial, video calls and videos that can not be downloaded even. I use this app a lot to take screen shots (pictures/photos) of anything I'm viewing on my phone and to record a video of any video, movement or other action on my phone, whether it's in Instagram, on YouTube, on the Web, etc.
Screen Mirroring: Phone to TV Screen App allows you to share your mobile screen on smart TV. This is a great app if you want to project what you see on your screen when you want to photograph yourself or video record yourself (with your phone). Why not see what you see on your phone, but on a larger display screen, such as a 65" or 75" TV stationed right behind the camera. To use Screen Mirroring: Phone to TV Screen App Mobile and TV should support wireless display. It can be found out from the settings of TV or Laptop or PC. It requires the same WIFI to be connected to both devices. It works on the devices only which support the wireless display feature.
VIDEO CONFERENCING & SCREEN SHARING
Here's what I use to conduct video conferences with friends and clients and share my screen (or they share theirs).
Zoom is a widely popular video conferencing software that lets you host meetings online with one or more people. I use it a lot to visit with friends across the country and to help clients as well. You can also share your desktop screen (and open programs) or let others share theirs.
Zoom has a free version and a paid version. The free version limits you to just 45 minutes per Zoom session. I use the free version for now, but as my needs grow, I may get the paid version. See their website for current pricing.
This is the webcam I use for video conferencing with friends, family and clients. It's specifically designed and optimized for professional quality video streaming and it can record vibrant, true to life HD 1080P video at 30Fps/ 720P at 60FPS. It's compatible with both PC and Macs. You might also like to know that I position my webcam on top of the Fotopro Flexible Tripod, which I describe below. This sits nicely on my desk and I can adjust the legs to look up, at or down on me; depending on how I'm sitting in my chair.
MOBILE PHONE SERVICE, CABLES & CHARGERS
If you'd like to save money on your cell phone service, here's my cell phone carrier of choice along with some helpful cell phone accessories I use that you might like to as well.
Years ago, I decided NOT to buy an expensive video camera to record my videos, but actually just buy an expensive cell phone (at the time) with HD camera capabilities for taking both HD photos and video. Well, the S10+ has proved to be an amazing investment for me and I can make/take calls on it.
Well, my next purchase (upgrade) will be the S21+ Ultra. The camera on that phone is OUT OF THIS WORLD and shoots video in 8K, as opposed to just 4K. So, I'll let you know when that happens.
Join me on Mint where I am saving a fox ton on wireless. My last carrier was robbing me of $100's of dollars every month. Now? I don't see a bill for a whole year because I pay a whopping $180-ish for the WHOLE YEAR. That comes out about about $15 bucks a month. When I make referrals, my bill goes down even more. YOURS TOO CAN!
Imagine, paying just $15 a month for your cell phone service? STOP PAYING $40-$80 a month. STOP IT! Unlimited talk and text, wi-fi calling, and REAL SAVINGS! I even get better service; no dropped calls, etc. Use my unique link above and you'll get $15 added to your Mint account when you sign up, and I'll get $$$ too.
I use GoDaddy's SmartLine as a second phone number, which I've assigned to my business. I like it because I can put this phone number on my website (for business/media inquiries) and not my personal cell phone. For just $9.95/month I've got a business-dedicated telephone number to give out to the public. With the app, I can text with SmartLine and take/make calls from that second phone number all from my personal cell phone. Pretty convenient, if you ask me. Here are a few more features:
• Choose a local U.S. phone number.
• Customize your voicemail greeting.
• Set business hours for when your phone rings.
• Caller ID shows your business number.
• Includes unlimited call minutes and texts per month.
I cannot say enough about the Yootech Wireless Chargers ... I LOVE THEM! I love them so much, I bought two 2-packs giving me a total of 4 chargers, which I can place around the house. I have one in the kitchen, one at my desk, one by my bed and one somewhere/anywhere I want to place it. Simply place your phone in the stand and it starts to charge. Very cool!
Wow, do these mobile phone cables (of different lengths) come in handy. With this very affordable purchase, you get two 3', two 6' and one 10' mobile phone charging cables. Keep one or more in the car and/or around the house. All you need is a USB (wall) charger and you're set. Do note, there are other options when it comes to cable colors or if you have a different type of phone with a different port to plug into. The point is, keep multiple cables of different lengths on hand to charge your phone.
You can never have enough USB wall chargers around. In fact, I like the 2- and 3-prong chargers. I just don't like the single port charger. Anyhow, take a look at these options, and pick one. Preferably, a multi-pack option with 2 or more units in your purchase. I like to have about 10 on hand in case I need one for different uses around the house or when I travel. ALWAYS keep a couple of these in your glove box along with a cable charger too.
COMPUTER MONITORS, KEYBOARDS, CABLES, ETC.
Here's what I have and recommend you get and keep on hand just in case at some point you need one or more of these items for use in your home/office. Check this out and make note. Feel free to come back to this section if you ever need to. I know I might. Perhaps, I'll forget where I bought something and will just come here to click on the respective link. I'll then be taken to where I need to be and voila!
I never thought I would ever buy (nor love) a 34" wide monitor. I always had 24" monitors for as long as I can remember. It was when I thought about the idea of having 2 monitors instead of one (in addition to my laptop screen), I thought, "Why not just get a 34" monitor and you'd only have 1 monitor to deal with." WOW! I love this 34" monitor. I have so much room on one monitor that I can have two open programs practically side-by-side for my use. Seriously, spend the extra couple hundred bucks and get this monitor. You'll love it. This monitor is also great if you're an investor/trader and you watch the stock markets to do your investing. The wide width gives you lots of room to put up several screens to monitor.
I have this monitor for use with my second laptop in the house. It's a nice big screen, 32" to be exact. It could serve as a TV because it has a Roku remote component to it. For my needs, I just connect it with my laptop via HDMI and I've got a nice big monitor to go along with my second laptop, as I said.
I've always preferred to use a large 24" (or larger) monitor and not just rely on my laptop screen size. Trust me, 17" is still not big enough to get done the kind of work I don on the computer. Whether I'm dealing with graphic design programs, video editing software, etc., I need space, I need room and I want a large screen to work with. For the longest time, before I bought my 34" monitor, I used a 24" monitor. Well, here are the search results on Amazon.com for just that. Take your pick, look for a price within your budget, look for Amazon Best Sellers and treat yourself to a nice 24" monitor. You'll be glad you did. Simply hook it up to your laptop via HDMI cable and you're set.
I've used Logitech keyboards FOR-EVER!!! I like how they have designed their keyboard so I can basically feel the keyboard with my eyes closed and know what keys are which. You can't do that with a laptop keyboard. What's more, I choose NEVER to use a laptop keyboard. No. I type way too fast and I'm too proficient with my use of any keyboard. So, I need the full function of a regular keyboard. Simply, I'll plug it into my laptop and away I go! I usually like to have a few (brand new) keyboards on hand in case something happens to the one I'm using. DON'T EVER BE WITHOUT A BACKUP KEYBOARD. Also, this purchase comes with a combo keyboard and mouse. How "mice!" I mean, "nice!" HAHA ... Get it? Mice? Nice? Okay, yeah. Check out this deal.
A trusted name when it comes to buying a mouse for your computer. This Amazon mouse has a lot of positive reviews. It's also very affordable. The last time I checked, this mouse was selling for $7.92. Check Amazon.com if the price has gone up or down and any Prime member benefits with shipping.
Sometimes, I like buying a mouse that comes in a pair, that is a 2-pack in the box. In case I need a second one somewhere or a guest comes over and needs a mouse, I have a spare. If something happens to the first one, I have a spare. This isn't the only brand you could buy, but it just shows you what's possible. Pricewise, the last time I checked, this 2-pack was selling for $10.99. Check Amazon.com if the price has gone up or down and any Prime member benefits with shipping.
This is a "mini-mouse!" Great for use when you're traveling, on an airplane, in a car, etc. Maybe you just want a smaller mouse and not a regular sized one. Well, this one's it. You might shop for style, color and other aspects. Last I checked, this mini-mouse was selling for $6.98. Check Amazon.com if the price has gone up or down and any Prime member benefits with shipping.
I'll use this 6' USB extension cable when I need to lengthen a USB cable that doesn't reach my end destination for whatever reason. For example, a mouse or printer or ... whatever! I had a mouse cable that wouldn't reach my laptop. So, this extension cable helped. Yay!
Depending on your budget and how much you want to spend and how much room you want on your USB flash drive, here are the search results for "usb flash drives" on Amazon.com. For me, I like to have several of these on hand. Some smaller sized ones and some big ones.
Depending on your budget and how much you want to spend and how much room you want on your USB flash drive, here are the search results for "external hard drives" on Amazon.com. For me, I like to have a few of these on hand. I might use one or two, but I'll have an empty back-up drive in case I need it if or when the time comes that one of my other external drives is not performing well. For me, I like a minimum of 2-4T sized drives. Since I work a lot with video, the 2T or higher serves my needs best for storage.
These are a must-have. In fact, you should have 3-5 of these on hand when the need arises. What is it? It's a multi-port USB adapter for use with your laptop. When you run out of USB ports and you need to plug something else in, like a printer, mouse, keyboard, external hard drive, portable thumb drive, you name it ... that's when the USB hub comes in handy. You just gained 4 more USB ports off one single USB port. Again, buy 3-5 of these and keep them on hand.
Talk about a space saver and more! Here's a 6-outlet; 3 transformer-spaced outlet adapter ideal for any home office, home theater, etc. Designed to plug into a regular wall outlet, here's a great way to plug several power strips into one single wall outlet via a multi-outlet in-wall adapter. You can also charge your phone via USB and much more. OR, check out the search results for "multi power outlet" and see if you see something you'd like and that's within your budget.
You can never have too many power strips in the house and lengths. I like to have about 5-10 power strips on hand, and different lengths. I have 3', 6' and 10' power strips. You should too.
VARIOUS LAPTOP STUFF, ETC.
This little stand serves me quite well. What I like about this stand is that I now can place things under my laptop, such as external drives, USB thumb drives, my wallet, etc. Plus, the laptop isn't taking up space on my table anymore. It's nice to have it elevated somewhat (4" to be exact).
I have two computer stations in my house. For my second laptop, I thought this particular stand would be more useful for my screen viewing needs. Again, I love how the laptop is elevated and I can put cords or external hard drives underneath the laptop.
So, not knowing what size laptop screen you have (i.e., 15", 16", 17", etc.), follow the Amazon link above to find the one you like and that fits your monitor best.
If you happen to need a laptop bag for your 17" laptop computer, this is a very choice bag to consider. I have this bag. It's lightweight and does the job when it comes to carrying around your laptop in a safe manner. Check it out.
VARIOUS OFFICE FURNITURE, ETC.
Below, you'll find some recommended home or office furniture and such. When I think of tech stuff, computers and the like, I think of desks, chairs, and other items that might make for a great office setup. Check these out ...
Seriously, I have bought this chair (on and off to replace it after a few years of wear/tear) for the past 20+ years. I'm not kidding. This is the most comfortable office chair I've ever owned. What's more? It's affordably priced. Typically, this chair runs about $99 (on average). I buy it at Staples and you can have it delivered.
What I like about it is that it has padded arm rests, a very tall back (so you can actually tilt your head back and take a fast nap if you're tall like me), and it's just comfortable as heck. It's also very lightweight, so you can port it around with you if you happen to go somewhere to work and you can bring your own chair. I've done that on when I've ever gone off to work at some timeshare location. Yes, I'd bring my own office chair in the car.
So, if you get the chance, stop by your local Staples office supply store and test this chair out.
I used to have this Gillespie L-shaped desk. It's quite nice, simple in design, spacious, lots of leg room below and it has a pull-out keyboard shelf under one of the table tops.
A contemporary touch with its sleek Sonoma cherry finish and black metal frame. The durable laminate top offers an expansive work surface, while the metal frame ensures reliable stability while you work.
Of course, these days, all I really need is just a folding table to mount my 34" computer monitor, laptop (on top of a laptop mount holder), keyboard and mouse. If I ever need a table or I want to move my desk around somewhere (and need a table), I can just fold this table in half and carry it wherever I need a table.
If you ever wanted a small file cabinet to store any number of documents of whatever, consider this one. I really like this model. I like that the bottom two drawers are deep and hold standard file folders. Plus, the top drawer is convenient for holding pens, tape, a stapler, small cables, post-it notes, you name it.
Here's a nice, convenient plastic cabinet storage organizer to stash all kinds of pens, markers, cables, charging adapters, ... you name it! This little unit fits nicely under my folding table allowing me to keep my table top clean and organized. What I also like about this organizer is that it has wheels. I can move it around when I want to vacuum around my desk, etc.
I have several of these light and classy bookshelves throughout my home and in my home office. They're great for stacking books on or other items of your choosing. Assembly required, as they can be either picked up at most IKEA stores or you can have them mailed to your home/office.
If you ever wanted to work on your computer in bed, here's the perfect adjustable overbed / bedside table with wheels. You can also use this table while sitting on the couch in your living room, let's say. I have one and I love it.
Believe it or not, I've actually written whole books while sitting on my couch in my living room. To facilitate the perfect work environment, I'd use this adjustable table with wheels to support my mouse and keyboard. Then, a couple TV trays to support my 34" monitor and laptop.
What's nice about this situation, is I can sit comfortably on the couch for hours, typing away, and when I need to get up, I simply push (and roll) the adjustable table away, stand up and go about my business (i.e., take a break from writing, grab lunch/dinner, go workout, etc.)
This is such a special find. I get a lot of compliments on this little piece of furniture. It's a cool place for your clients, friends or guests over at your home office to put their shoes. You can also use the top drawer for whatever you want to put in there. Sometimes, you could put your keys in there or shoe polish, you name it.
