Where Is Your Book?

by Bart Smith

EXACTLY! Where IS your book? Have you thought about writing a book? Do you know where or how to start writing a book?

Luckily, those concerns and questions are addressed in detail inside my 260-page Self-Publishing Manual here at MTC. So, rest easy about the “how to” and “where to” start parts of writing a book. I got ya covered in detail there.

Now, having said that, let’s talk quickly about WHY you should write a book, HOW you go about writing a book, then I’ll give you a tour of my self-publishing manual and online course and then how you can contact me if you’d like my help writing your book.

Why Should You Write A Book?

For these simple reasons and even a few of your own:

  • EXPOSURE … With books, you can get interviewed in front of thousands of people weekly for FREE! You can also advertise your book (and free excerpts) in front of thousands for only a few dollars per day! The combination of that gets you in front of a lot of people very quickly!

  • CREDIBILITY … Books establish your credibility the second someone sees your name on the front cover. That goes a long way to securing new clients faster and easier than just handing out a business card. You wrote about something so that a book establishes you as the authority of that topic overnight.

  • THE MONEY … There are so many ways to make money with your book, not just book sales. You can create eBooks and audiobooks out of a book for sale; you can create online/offline courses for sale; you can consult one-on-one and in group format based on your book; … among so many other ways to make money with your book.

  • BUILD YOUR LIST … Remember, no list, no money. Your money is on your list. With books, you can build a list quickly just by offering excerpts of your book, either in written or audio format. Down the line, when you have a number of people on your list who haven’t bought your book, email them to ask if they’d like to work with you one-on-one or join you in a group workshop or buy the audio version of your book. You never know!

  • PERSONAL REASONS … There are so many reasons to write a book. What’s yours? To tell your story, set the record straight, talk about a subject no one dares to talk about? Whatever it is, write that book you want to see the world reading!

  • There, I just named a few reasons to write a book. Can you think of a reason to write a book? There’s no right or wrong reason, just yours! So? WRITE!
